Caitlyn lives deep in the suburbs in the North of Sydney, Australia. People frequently comment how terrifyingly similar her street is to Ramsay Street on the soapie Neighbours. This has prompted her to wonder is she Izzy (evil and scheming) or Carmella (daughter of a mob boss, nun turned fruit stall owner) or even Saskia (car thief)?

Caitlyn has always loved to read. She began pinching her mother's Mills & Boons at the age of fourteen, and cannot remember a time in her life when she wasn't without a book. She began writing in 2005. Exhausted, pregnant, very morning-sick and coping with a demanding toddler, she wanted a project just for herself. Her husband encouraged her to write the novel she'd always talked about. So she did. Running Scared was published by Samhain Publishing in January 2007.

Ten Fun Facts About Cait

1. Caitlyn loves to garden and has a huge vegetable patch, she grows beautiful tomatos, even though she loathes them and never eats them.
2. Caitlyn can speak, read and write Chinese, and spent three months on a language exchange in Kunming, Yunnan. She was once locked out of her apartment complex there and was caught scaling the fence by the local police.
3. When Caitlyn first took herself backpacking in Europe (at the tender age of 17) she was such a young innocent thing that she assumed the scantily clad young ladies hanging about in doorways near her hostel were waiting for a lift home.
4. Caitlyn is ambidexterous. She can do almost everything left and right handed except for write (which she does left handed). On the rare occassions she ventures onto a tennis court she swaps the raquet from hand to hand rather than try backhand (its safer that way).
5. Caitlyn is slightly dyslexic. She has difficulty remembering the order of the letters in the alphabet.
6. Caitlyn was born in England and moved to Australia in 1983.
7. Caitlyn hates shopping, but does have a thing for power tools.
8. Caitlyn adores horses and riding dressage. She once harboured ambitions about competing at the Olympics, only to have her dream squashed by her instructor who laughed (hysterically) for a full five minutes at the idea.

10. Caitlyn once wanted to be a chef. She studied cooking for a summer at the Cordon Bleu cookery school in London. One of the other students was from Montana, he fell madly in love with her and begged her to go back to the States and live on his ranch. She said no, but has always wondered what if??
